SUN LOUNGER
My group and I created a seating area specifically designed for a location in our school, on the raw concrete stairs, reminiscent of the Bauhaus aesthetic (primary geometric shapes).
We paid homage to Gerrit Rietveld (an iconic designer of the Bauhaus) by reinterpreting his iconic lounge chair in a contemporary way, resulting in a modern and functional design that blends seamlessly into the location's aesthetic.
The final result was a sun lounger designed to fit onto the concrete stairs, providing a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing space for students.
